Artoday is a vibrant and visionary artistic organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the thriving art scene in Egypt. With a strong commitment to nurturing local talent and bringing Egyptian modern art onto the global stage, Artoday has become a driving force in the art world, bridging the gap between established artists and emerging talents. Led by Shereen Badr, founder and CEO of Artoday, the organization boasts a dedicated team of artists, designers, and administrators who have worked on significant projects in the region and internationally. We are fortunate to have Rabab Namer as a guest of honor for Empower Her Art Forum 2024. Rabab Nemr is a veteran Egyptian artist whose work has been exhibited consistently since her graduation from the Fine Arts Faculty in Alexandria in 1963. She lat- er earned a doctorate in Art from the San Fernando Academy, University of Madrid in 1977.
Nemr’s work is best known for being very intricate in relation to its size. Her attention to detail is magnifi- cent, as she uses miniscule strokes of a rapidograph pen in order to create large pieces that convey the soul of her hometown of Alexandria. She also moves between creating solid black and white works, as well as using color, continuing to thrill viewers with her larger than life artworks of incredible detail.
